Visit to Kullu-Manali on 25-27 Mar-2017

The tour started with River Rafting at Kullu just before reaching Manali. First time experience and some fun in the chilled water.

Enjoyed snow, bright sun and visit to Ajani Mahadev Temple near Solang Valley This manifestation of Shiva is attributed to the penance of Anjani, Mother of Hanuman who was conceived here.The location was discovered by Guru Baba Prakash Puri Ji Maharaj after a divine vision. Today a beautiful temple adorns the site and is inhabited by holy hermits (sadhus) that welcome any visitor and are happy to serve refreshments and exchange ideas. Anjani Mahadev is accessible on foot through a 40 minute walk from Solang Nullah.

Hidimba Temple is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian epic Mahābhārata. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest called Dhungiri Van Vihar. The sanctuary is built over a huge rock jutting out of the ground which was worshiped as an image of the deity. The current structure was built in 1553.






Siyali Mahadev Temple  Probably one of the oldest temples in the area, It is known for intricate woodwork and its architecture a blend of elements usually see in pagodas and chalets



Vashisht, Manali Founded by Guru Vashisht who was sole guru and teacher of Ram and Laxman.Vashisht Temple and hot springs near Manali. Near to this temple there is temple of Ram as well.

Himalaya Nyingmapa- is ancient Buddhist monastery with Pagoda-styled structur and fascinating Tibetan style architecture in the heart of the city of Manali. The elements that make this temple so popular are the massive, two-storey-tall statue of Lord Buddha and eye-catching wall paintings it houses.





Mall Road, Manali  is  main street of the city and very vibrant place for tourist to have refreshing time in the evening after spending a hectic in the Himalayan trails. Enjoyed food for two days and hot jilebis milk with malai (cream) toppingPerfect place for shopping of  woolen clothes. sweets, chats, etc. 









Naggar Castle, near Kullu  is a medieval castle, located in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, India. Built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu in around 1460 A.D, it was taken over to Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), to run as a heritage hotel, since 1978.

Jana Waterfalls is surrounded by deodar trees, pine trees, apple orchards and spectacular snow-covered mountain peaks. This fall is a charming picnic spot. The first sight of the falls is quite hidden and will be a surprise for the visitor as the water unexpectedly rushes from a cluster of rocks overlooking a wooden bridge.
