Visited Jejuri with Sadhana and Shahs on 22-Dec-2016.

Khandoba Temple, Jejuri has also been a historically important place as Shivaaji met his father Shahaji here after a long period. The meeting is historically very important as both discussed the strategies against Mughals, here. The temple is dedicated to Khandoba, also known as Mhalsakant or Malhari Martand or Mylaralinga. Khandoba is regarded as the 'God of Jejuri' and is held in great reverence by the Dhangars.

Visit to Guru Shikhar, Mount Abu on 13-Dec-2016


Guru_Shikhar, Mount Abu a peak in the Arbuda Mountains of Rajasthan, is the highest point of the Aravalli Range.

Very fortunate be there on the Shikhar on Datta Poornima. Excellent bright climate and good effort to reach the peak with Shahs. Was not aware of the place till we googled the internet as we were approaching Mount Abu.

Visit to Haldighati, Kumbalgarh Fort, Ranakpur Jain Temples on 12-Dec-2016

After spending two days in Nathdwara and started return journey to Navapur and Thane. Ankit and Priyanka suddenly changed the route to head towards the Haldighati, Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur TempleAll the three places where scenic and historical. The Kumbal Fort has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Visit to Nathdwara on 11-Dec-2016

Nathdwara is famous for its temple of Krishna which houses the deity of Shrinathji, a 14th-century, 7-year-old "infant" incarnation of Krishna. The deity was originally worshiped at Mathura and was shifted in the 1672 from Govardhan hill, near Mathura along holy river Yamuna after being retained at Agra for almost six months. Nathdwara means ‘Gateway to Shrinathji (God)’. 

Nathdwara is also famous for its 'pichhwai' paintings, ivory articles and mouth-watering sweets.  

Stayed two days and enjoyed the sacred environment with Shahs.

Visit to Pavagadh on 10-Dec-2016

Kalika_Mata_Temple, Pavagad  is a Hindu goddess temple complex and pilgrim centre at the summit of Pavagadh Hill and dates from the 10th or 11th centuries. The temple has three images of goddesses: the central image is of Kalika Mata, flanked by Kali on the right and Bahucharamata on the left.

Visited the temple with Rajiv, Anuradha, Priyanka, Ankit, Sadhana and myself. Cable car facility, which we used, is available to go to the hill top to save on some time, but stepping up would have been wonderful. Nice place - scenic and sacred.

Passed through the Malshej Ghat on my return journey from Aurangabad to Thane. Lucky to have parents, Seema, Sadhana and myself. Scenic place was used to connect Konkan and Western Ghats.

Visit to Miri on 01-Aug-2016

Visited to Miri, Ahmednagar, farm house of Mirikars, with Parents and Sadhana  for some hours. The place is on Ahmednagar to Paithan Road. We all had good time in the farm with Ananya. her parents and grand-pa.

Visited Farmhouse of Mirikars in Miri on the way to Aurangabad with Mirikars, my parents and Sadhana. Miri has contains two temples, 'Chaitanya  Kanifnath (KANHOBA) and lord वीरभद्र मन्दिर and well known 114-year-old St. Barnaba Church and St. Hilda Boarding School. Shri_Shankar_Maharaj stayed in Miri for some time and he was a Perfect Master in the tradition of Nath Siddhas.

Visit to Goa on 29-Jul-2016

Traveled to Panjim, Goa with Girish to attend the Presidents' PMI Meeting at Cidadede, Dona Paula, Panjim  in rainy season. The climate was fantastic with greenery everywhere and waterfalls in the hills making the travel very pleasant. Enjoyed tea and sweet corns on the way.

Visit to Srirangpatanam as on 17-Jun-2016

Srirangapatna one of the most important Vaishnavite centers of pilgrimage in South India. The temple was built by the Ganga dynasty rulers of the area in the 9th century; the structure was strengthened and improved upon architecturally some three centuries later.

Srirangapatna became the de facto capital of Mysore under Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan.  Various monuments that dot the town, such as Tipu Sultan's palaces, the Darya Daulat and the Jumma Masjid(Friday congregational mosque), date from this period.

Visit to Mysore as on 16 Jun 2016

Brindavan_Gardens, Mysore spread across an area of 60 acres. The main attraction of the park is the musical fountain in which bursts of water are synchronized to the music of songs. There is also a lake within the garden with boating facilities available for visitors.

Visit to Shravanbelagola, Halebidu on 13 Jun, 2016

Started the 5 days tour with Shravanabelagola, Belur and Halebidu from Bengaluru with Vijaumama, Mami, Sadhana and myself by car. Other places visited were Dharamashala, Coorg, Mysore and Srirangpatanam. The iterneary was well planned, the climate was nice and the places were something which I wanted to visit since school days.

It was really exciting to ride on a brand new Royal Cassic 350 with Sadhana, a sumptuous dinner in Status at Nariman Point and after that return to Thane via Peddar Road, Siddhivinayak Temple.

Visit to Elephanta on 16-May-2016

Visited Elephanta Caves once again with Rajani Kaku, Sejal, Niharika, Sadhana and myself in very hot climate. The travel became some what comfortable with sea breeze . The place is my favorite and visited for the third time. The caves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a collection of cave temples predominantly dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.They are located on Elephanta Island, or Gharapuri (literally "the city of caves") near Mumbai Harbour

Visit to Narsimha Mandir and Gurudwara, Bidar on 27-Apr-2016

Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib Gurudwara, Bidar is a Sikh historical shrine situated in BidarKarnataka. Gurdwara Nanak Jhira Sahib was built in the year 1948 and is dedicated to the first Sikh guru Guru NanakReached  the Gurudwara early in the morning and visited the Gurudwara.

Global Vipassana Pagoda, Gorai, Mumbai is a Meditation Dome Hall with a capacity to seat around 8,000 mediators which is the largest such meditation hall in the worldIts traditional Burmese design is an expression of gratitude towards the country of Myanmar for preserving the practice of Vipassana. The shape of the pagoda is a copy of the Shwedagon Pagoda (Golden Pagoda) in Yangon, Myanmar. It was built combining ancient Indian and modern technology to enable it to last for a thousand years.

Visit to Dehu and Alandi as on 18-Mar-2016

Visited Alandi and Dehu with Seema and Sadhana. Alandi famous for the Samadhi of Great Saint Dnyaneshwar and Dehu for Samadhi of Jagatguru Saint Tukaram. Also visited to the Siddhabhet in the outskirts of Alandi where Dnyaneshwar's family was residing after being ex-communicated and Dnyaneshwari Mandir where in a Dnyeneshwari is inscribed on the walls like Gatha mandir in Dehu.

Visit to Colombo, Sri Lanka as on 07-Mar-2016

Visited Colombo, Sri Lanka to attend the PMI LIM, 2016 and got one day to quickly move around the city.  With limited time at disposal Ahmed and me could visit Independence Square, ColomboGangaramaya Buddhist Temple, Colombo and local market.
