Day 03 - Visit to Yamunotri on 18-Jun-2008

Yamonotri trek from Janki Chatti  was terrific and life time experience. It was full day walk which lasted more than 9 hours and tested our capabilities to reach Yamunotri temple. Quiet a few times, we thought we will not able to make it, but any with blessings from the God and Guru reached the sacred place. It was drizzling through out the day and chill was compulsive to keep walking in a one time use thin plastic rain coat.  Very satisfying day and enjoyed thoroughly.

Visit to New York USA and Washington DC in 2001-2002

Visited USA on official assignment which provided opportunity to roam mainly in Manhattan, New York at ease for four months and Washington for three days. Had heard about the sky-rappers of NYC since school days. NYC, the city never sleeps, is vibrant all the time and you see multicultural flavors in the city. Visited the city within one month of the 9/11 disaster.  Very impressed with the New York City Subway is the world's largest rapid transit system by length of routes and by number of stations. 13 million passengers are using the subway system every day.
