Visit to Kulu-Manali on 08, 09, 10, 11 Mar, 2006

Visited Kulu- Manli and could cover  Solan Valley, Hidimba Temple, Vashishst, Ajani Mahadev

Enjoyed snowfall, bright sun and visit to Ajani Mahadev Temple near Solang Valley This manifestation of Shiva is attributed to the penance of Anjani, Mother of Hanuman who was conceived here. The location was discovered by Guru Baba Prakash Puri Ji Maharaj after a divine vision. Today a beautiful temple adorns the site and is inhabited by holy hermits (sadhus) that welcome any visitor and are happy to serve refreshments and exchange ideas. Anjani Mahadev is accessible on foot through a 40 minute walk from Solang Nullah.

Solang Valley a splendid valley between Manali and Kothi and offers the views of glaciers and snow caped mountains and peaks. The nearest glacier from Manali is in this valley. It is about thirteen kms. from Manali and one can go there either by jeep or by bus up to Palchan a village from where a jeep able road branches off to the left.

Vashisht :A little village located on the left bank of the Beas, but well above the river and about 3 kms beyond Manali and is renowned for its hot sulphur springs named as Bashisht or Vashist. There is a regular walled bathing pool with stone floors.

Enjoyed a lot the snowfall. The climate was at its best.  Priyanka and me walked in snow fall and reached a temple by walking barefoot many steps on the ice to take the darshan. A hot milk was served once we reached the hut-like mutt with fire to maintain the temperature.

Ready to move in the snowfall

A panoramic view of Beas River
Shri Mahadevi Tirth Sathan, popularly known as Vaishnu Devi Mandir (by localities), situated about two kilometers North from the Kullu valley on Kullu Manali road, though a newly fonded temple, yet it is acknowledged like any old famous temple.
