Visit to Raigad, Pratapgad, and Mahabaleshwar in Nov-1998

Visited with Sadhana and Priyanka Raigad, Pratapgad, Mahabaleshwar by car - my first car tour covering Mahabaleshwar, Gondawale, Pandharpur, Solapur, Tuljapur and Aurangabad.

Raigad Raigad (Marathi:रायगड) is a hill fort situated near Mahad. The fort rises 820 metres (2,700 ft) above the sea level and is located in the Sahyadri mountain range. There are approximately 1737 steps leading to the fort.

\This statue of Waghya, to commemorate his loyalty and love, was erected in year 1936 at Shivaji's Raigad Fort where the loyal dog's ashes were reportedly buried.
