Visit to Nathdwara on 11-Dec-2016

Nathdwara is famous for its temple of Krishna which houses the deity of Shrinathji, a 14th-century, 7-year-old "infant" incarnation of Krishna. The deity was originally worshiped at Mathura and was shifted in the 1672 from Govardhan hill, near Mathura along holy river Yamuna after being retained at Agra for almost six months. Nathdwara means ‘Gateway to Shrinathji (God)’.

Nathdwara is also famous for its 'pichhwai' paintings, ivory articles and mouth-watering sweets.

Stayed two days and enjoyed the sacred environment with Shahs.

Visit to Pavagadh on 10-Dec-2016

Kalika_Mata_Temple, Pavagad  is a Hindu goddess temple complex and pilgrim centre at the summit of Pavagadh Hill and dates from the 10th or 11th centuries. The temple has three images of goddesses: the central image is of Kalika Mata, flanked by Kali on the right and Bahucharamata on the left.

Visited the temple with Rajiv, Anuradha, Priyanka, Ankit, Sadhana and myself. Cable car facility, which we used, is available to go to the hill top to save on some time, but stepping up would have been wonderful. Nice place - scenic and sacred.
