Visited with Nagaon, Revdanda, Kashid Beach, Murud-Janjira with Shridhar Deogude, Gangadhar Jagtap, Sadhana, Priyanka and myself in very very hot and sultry climate of May. This was further fueled by battery problems in the broad afternoon forcing to "Dhakka" start of my Tavera. . After two long days, water sports activities, moving around in Janjira fort and other places driving was quite challanging for me. However, As if this was not enough, solid traffic jam on our return joiurney to Thane made me dog-tired and reaching home late night at home left nothing for me except fall into deep sleep till the next day morning.

Visit to Aundha Nagnath, Mahur, Umerkhed and Yehalegaon on 31-Dec-2010 and 01-Jan-2011

Visited  Aundha Nagnath, Mahur, Umerkhed and Yehalegaon with Bapukaka, Sadhana and Priyanka by Tavera.

Memories of six month stay in Mahur in 1964 were in the mind. Mahur was surrounded by forest and wild animals including tigers were moving in the village during dark.  Climbed the hill quite a few times to reach Renuka Mata Mandir. Datta mandir was visited after our family left Mahur and Anusaya Temple was visited only in 2011. 

Very scenic places were these temples are located and always founde peace of mind in each and every visit to Mahurgad.

Visit to Bhandardara, Trimbakeshwar, Javhar on 10 and 11 Aug, 2010

Started from Thane around 07.30 am on a rainy day and visited Bhandardara, Trimbakeshwar and returned via Mokhada, Javar and Bhiwandi. 

What a terrific trip in the mid of the monsoon!!!  It was raining through out the trip and lush greenery everywhere.

Visit to Mathura, Gokul, Brindawan, Fateshpur Sikri, Taj Mahal on 24-May-2009

One long day visit of 19 hours from Faridabad to Mathura, Gokul, Brindawan, Fateshpur Sikri, Taj Mahal was done by car on very hot day. The travel was smooth except that their was some fear after 8 pm. Although the driver was local and known to the route, there were hardly any car on the road or petrol pump.

Krishna_Janmasthan_Temple_Complex  is a group of Hindu temples  in Mathura. These temples are built around the place where major Hindu deity Krishna is said to have been born. The temples were destroyed multiple times throughout history, latest by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1670 who erected Eidgah there. In 20th century, the new temple complex was built with the financial help from industrialists containing the Keshavdeva temple, the Garbha Griha temple at the birth place and the Bhagavata Bhavan.

9-Days Chardham Tour (ex-Haridwar) from 16-Jun-2008 to 26-Jun-2008

Sadhana, Priyanka and myself went for a Chardham Yatra conducted by the Chitari Travels with a group of 30+ pilgrims. We all enjoyed every moment of the tour and visited all these holy places. The tour comprised of very long tiring journeys, adverse whether, difficult treks and so on, but the enthusiasm of especially old one was really exceptional. Magnificent Himalayas, panoramic scenery, excellent management by Shri Deshmukh sir and his team made the tour possible and enjoyable.

Badrinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu which is situated in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India. The temple and town form one of the four Char Dham and Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites. The temple is also one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Badrinath—holy shrines for Vaishnavites.

Also vistited Badrinath, Bhim Pul, Ganesh Gufa, Vyas Gufa and origin of the  Saraswati River from Bhim Pul. It is believed that Saraswati  river disappeared in badrinath and appeared along with Ganga and Jamuna (Triveni Sangam) in Prayag

Kedarnath The most remote of the four Chota Char Dham sites, Kedarnath is located in the Himalayas, about 3,583 m (11,755 ft) above sea level near Chorabari Glacier, the head of river Mandakini, and is flanked by snow-capped peaks, most prominently Kedarnath mountain. It was a 7-8 hours of wall with elevation but enjoyed thoroughly with Priyanka. The path was scenic and first time life experience of  observing the snow-studded peaks. Our tired ness run away with the vast site of the panoramic scene once the Kedarnath village was in site.

Tehri Dam  is the highest dam in India and one of the highest in the world. It is a multi-purpose rock and earth-fill embankment dam on the Bhagirathi River near Tehri in Uttarakhand, India. It is the primary dam of the THDC India Ltd. and the Tehri hydroelectriccomplex. Phase 1 was completed in 2006. The Tehri Dam withholds a reservoir for irrigation, municipal water supply and the generation of 1,000 megawatts (1,300,000 hp) of hydroelectricity. The dam's 1,000 MW variable-speed pumped-storage scheme is currently under construction with expected commissioning in May 2018.

Here we were unfortunate for not reaching the Gangotri due to landslide after Gangnani WaterSprings, Near Gangotri.
